** Effective July 1, 2009, a monthly account maintenance fee of $1.50 will be deducted from all E-ZPass^® Maryland accounts. (Note: this fee is per account, not per transponder.)

Private Accounts are available for two-axle vehicles only. In addition, Private Accounts are limited to customers who request four or fewer transponders. New and replacement transponders are subject to a Nonrefundable Transponder Fee of $21. This cost may increase without notice based on pricing set by the Transponder manufacturer.

Private Account holders may choose one or more of the following Plans for each transponder:

Standard Plan(for casual use)

This plan allows you to enroll in the E-ZPass^® program and pay the full-fare toll at all E-ZPass^®-equipped toll plazas in Maryland and at E-ZPass^® toll plazas throughout the Northeastern United States. Trips in this plan do not expire.

If you enroll in any E-ZPass^® Maryland discount plan, you will automatically have Standard Plan privileges at all other E-ZPass^®-equipped toll facilities where you do not have a discount plan.

When to select this plan:

• If you do not qualify for a discount plan and wish to take trips on E-ZPass^® facilities. A full-fare toll will be deducted from your account for each trip taken.
  No minimum use is required.

** Effective July 1, 2009, E-ZPass^® Maryland discount plans were reduced from 60 days to 45 days. (Does not apply to William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge Shoppers Plan).

Baltimore Region Discount Plan [MDTACMT]: (Fort McHenry Tunnel, Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, Francis Scott Key Bridge, John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway and Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge) Pay $.40 per trip for 50 trips that are valid for 45 days. Because tolls are collected only in one direction at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway and the Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge, two trips are deducted for each passage.

Bay Bridge - William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge Discount Plan [MDTAWPL]: Pay $1 per trip for 25 trips that are valid for 45 days.

Bay Bridge Shoppers - William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge Shoppers Discount Plan [MDTABBS]: Pay $1 per trip for 10 trips that can be used Sunday through Thursday and are valid for 180 days.

Harry W. Nice Memorial Bridge Discount Plan [MDTAHWN]: Pay $.60 per trip for 25 trips that are valid for 45 days.

All discount plans are time sensitive. Trips will be deducted from your account as they are taken. The value of the trips not used within the discount plan cycle will be debited from your account after the plan cycle ends and will be reflected on your statement. If the Transponder is not read, a higher toll rate than the discount plan rate will be deducted from your account. Discount plans are not eligible for refunds.

E-ZPass Maryland business account holders will be enrolled in the Post-Usage Discount Plan and the Supplemental Rebate Plan for vehicles with three or more axles. Discounts for both plans are credited to accounts thirty (30) days after completion of a cycle.

Post-Usage Plan
The Post-Usage Discount Plan is account specific and is based on all transponders used on the account at eligible facilities. The discount cycle begins with the first toll transaction after the plan is added to your account and runs for thirty (30) days. Calculation of the post-usage discount is based on the following and does not include any applicable fees that may have been deducted from your account during the calculation period:

$100 to $999 of toll usage – 15 percent discount
$1,000 to 2,999 of toll usage – 20 percent discount
$3,000 to 4,999 of toll usage – 25 percent discount
$5,000 or more of toll usage - 33 percent discount

Supplemental Rebate Plan
The Supplemental Rebate Plan is transponder specific and is based on the number of trips used by a single transponder at eligible facilities. The cycle begins when you open your account and runs from anniversary date to anniversary date each month. A 10% discount will be offered for a single transponder that makes 100 or more trips in an anniversary period. Because tolls are only collected in one direction at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway, Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge, Governor Harry W. Nice Memorial Bridge and the William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge, one trip on these facilities will be counted as two trips.

Eligible Facilities
The following Maryland toll facilities are eligible for the Post-Usage Discount Plan and the Supplemental Rebate Discount Plan: Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, Fort McHenry Tunnel, Francis Scott Key Bridge, Governor Harry W. Nice Memorial Bridge, John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway, Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge, and William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge.
